Description
Tender beef tips simmered in a savory gravy, served over fluffy rice for a comforting and hearty meal.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef sirloin tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- Salt, to taste
- Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef tips and brown on all sides, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions until soft, about 3–4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- Return beef to the skillet. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 to 1½ hours, or until beef is tender.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Stir into the skillet and cook for 5–10 minutes, until the gravy thickens.
- Serve over cooked rice and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute sirloin tips with stew meat or chuck roast.
- For added flavor, include mushrooms or bell peppers during simmering.
- Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
