Ingredients
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1 packet taco seasoning
-
1/4 cup water
-
12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
-
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
-
1/4 cup diced red onion
-
1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
-
1/4 cup salsa (optional)
-
2 tbsp melted butter
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
-
Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
-
Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
-
Spread the seasoned beef evenly over the bottom buns.
-
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion.
-
Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings.
-
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley. Brush this mixture over the tops of the buns.
-
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
-
Serve warm with sour cream and salsa on the side, if desired.
Notes
-
Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
-
Add jalapeños, hot sauce, or avocado for extra flavor.
-
Best served fresh, but leftovers can be wrapped in foil and reheated in the oven.
