Description

Taco Sliders are a fun and flavorful twist on traditional tacos—perfect for parties, game days, or casual dinners. These bite-sized sandwiches are layered with seasoned beef, gooey cheese, and classic taco toppings inside soft, toasted slider buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

  • 1/4 cup diced red onion

  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)

  • 1/4 cup salsa (optional)

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  • Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Spread the seasoned beef evenly over the bottom buns.

  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion.

  • Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings.

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley. Brush this mixture over the tops of the buns.

  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

  • Serve warm with sour cream and salsa on the side, if desired.

Notes

  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.

  • Add jalapeños, hot sauce, or avocado for extra flavor.

  • Best served fresh, but leftovers can be wrapped in foil and reheated in the oven.
