Church Supper Spaghetti is a comforting, crowd-pleasing baked spaghetti casserole made with a rich meat sauce, tender pasta, and layers of melted cheese. Perfect for potlucks, church gatherings, or cozy family dinners, this dish is easy to make ahead and guaranteed to be a hit at any table.

1 pound spaghetti

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft, about 6–8 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute, stirring frequently.

Stir in the spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a large bowl, toss the cooked spaghetti with the meat sauce until evenly coated.

Spread half of the spaghetti mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Layer the remaining spaghetti mixture on top, then finish with the remaining cheeses.

Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden.

Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.
Notes
This dish can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
Try using a mix of ground beef and Italian sausage for extra flavor.
Leftovers reheat beautifully and can be frozen for future meals.
