Description

Cheesy Sausage Balls are savory bite-sized appetizers made with ground sausage, cheddar cheese, and biscuit mix—perfect for parties, game day, or a quick snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground pork sausage

  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1½ cups biscuit baking mix (such as Bisquick)

  • ¼ cup milk

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • In a large bowl, combine sausage, cheddar cheese, biscuit mix, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

  • Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated. You may need to use your hands for best results.

  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Prepare sausage balls in advance and refrigerate or freeze before baking.

  • Spice It Up: Use hot or spicy sausage for extra flavor.

  • Serving Ideas: Great with honey mustard, ranch dressing, or marinara sauce.

  • Pro Tip: Use finely shredded cheese to help the mixture bind better.
