Description

These fried ravioli are cheese-filled pasta coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and fried to golden perfection. A fun, crispy, and flavorful appetizer that’s easy to make and sure to please a crowd. Serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 ounces refrigerated cheese ravioli

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 2 cups Italian breadcrumbs

  • Oil, for frying

  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

  • Marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Place the eggs and milk in a small bowl and whisk until well combined. Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl or on a plate. Dip each ravioli into the egg mixture, then roll it in the breadcrumbs, coating evenly. Place breaded ravioli in a single layer on the prepared sheet pan. Heat 3 inches of oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry 6–8 ravioli at a time for 3–4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with remaining ravioli. Sprinkle hot ravioli with grated parmesan and chopped parsley. Serve immediately with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

You can use frozen ravioli if desired—just be sure to thaw them completely before breading and frying. For a baked version, spray breaded ravioli lightly with cooking spray and bake at 400°F for 15–20 minutes or until golden.
