Do you love chicken burgers but hate all that frying oil? Then these BLT Baked Chicken Burgers are perfect for you! They come together quickly, are oven-baked for a healthier twist, and are ideal for meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Patties:

  • 4 slices bacon, finely chopped

  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs

  • 1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

To Serve:

  • Spicy mayo

  • Brioche burger buns

  • Lettuce leaves

  • Tomato slices

  • Onion rings (optional)

  • Extra cooked bacon slices

Instructions

Prepare the Patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped bacon, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and optional chili flakes. Mix until fully incorporated.
Shape the Patties: Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter and ½ inch (1.5 cm) thick.
Bake the Patties: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the chicken patties on top. Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the patties reaches 165°F (74°C).
Assemble the Burgers: Toast the brioche buns if desired. Spread 2 tablespoons of spicy mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with lettuce, tomato slices, extra cooked bacon, and the baked chicken patty. Top with the other half of the bun.
Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately with your favorite sides or fries.

Notes

  • Grilling Instructions: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Cook the chicken patties for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  • Air Fryer Instructions: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the chicken patties in a single layer in the basket and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side.

  • Make-Ahead Tip: Form the patties in advance and refrigerate for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.

  • Spicy Mayo Idea: Mix mayo with sriracha, smoked paprika, and a squeeze of lemon for an easy homemade spicy mayo.

  • Customize It: Add avocado slices, cheddar cheese, or pickled jalapeños for an extra layer of flavor.
