Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 10 oz refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into small pieces
  • 5 eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1½ cups prepared country gravy

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter and cook diced onion and sausage until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Layer the cut biscuit pieces evenly in the baking dish.
  4. Spoon the sausage and onion mixture over the biscuits.

  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
  7. Warm the prepared country gravy and drizzle it evenly over the casserole.
