Description

A crispy, low-carb, high-protein snack made with just one ingredient! These Cottage Cheese Chips are easy to prepare, great for dipping, and perfect for clean eating. Choose from oven or microwave methods.

Instructions

Oven Method

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prep Pan: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with oil to prevent sticking.

  3. Drain Cheese: Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove excess liquid from the cottage cheese.

  4. Shape Chips: Scoop small mounds of cottage cheese onto the baking sheet. Flatten each with the back of a spoon into thin rounds, spacing them apart.

  5. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Watch closely in the last few minutes to avoid burning.

  6. Cool and Serve: Let chips cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. They will continue to crisp as they cool. Enjoy plain or with your favorite dip.


Microwave Method

 

  1. Prep Parchment: Cut parchment paper to fit your microwave plate and lightly spray with oil.

  2. Drain Cheese: Remove excess liquid from the cottage cheese.

  3. Microwave: Spread an even layer of cottage cheese onto the parchment. Microwave on high for 2–3 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Microwave times may vary, so watch carefully.

  4. Cool and Break: Let cool slightly, then break into chip-sized pieces and serve.


Notes

  • Crispier chips: The drier the cottage cheese, the crispier the chip. Press well with a cheesecloth or paper towels.

  • Flavor twist: Sprinkle chips with everything bagel seasoning, garlic powder, or smoked paprika before baking.

 

  • Storage: Store cooled chips in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–2 days, but they are best fresh.
