Description

Sweet, tangy, and bursting with nostalgic creamsicle flavor, these no-bake truffles are a dreamy treat. With just a few simple ingredients, they come together easily for a perfect party bite or anytime indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Scale: 1x

  • 1½ cups (180 g) powdered sugar

  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cups (120 g) finely crushed vanilla wafers

  • ¼ cup (60 ml) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed

  • 1 tsp orange zest (optional, for extra flavor)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup (200 g) white chocolate chips or white candy melts, for coating

Optional Garnishes:

  • Sprinkles

  • Extra orange zest

Instructions

  • Prepare the Truffle Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Mix in the orange juice concentrate, orange zest (if using), and vanilla extract. Stir in the crushed vanilla wafers until a soft dough forms.

  • Shape the Truffles:
Scoop 1-tablespoon portions of dough and roll into smooth balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until firm.

  • Melt the White Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.

  • Coat the Truffles:
Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Return coated truffles to the parchment-lined sheet.

  • Decorate:
While the coating is still wet, garnish with sprinkles or a pinch of orange zest, if desired.

  • Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until the coating sets completely. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.

  • Substitutions: You can use graham cracker crumbs instead of vanilla wafers for a more cookie-forward flavor.

  • Extra Tang: For more intense citrus flavor, add a few drops of orange extract to the dough.

  • Quick Tip: Lightly grease your hands with butter or oil if the dough sticks while rolling.
