Description

Light, fruity, and ultra-refreshing, this agua fresca is a summertime favorite. It comes together in just 10 minutes and blends sweet pineapple and ripe strawberries with a splash of lime and a touch of agave. Perfect for backyard BBQs, poolside sipping, or an easy afternoon refresher for the kids.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups fresh pineapple chunks
1½ cups fresh strawberries
2½ cups water, divided
2 tablespoons agave nectar (or adjust to taste)
Juice of 1 lime (about 23 tablespoons)

Instructions

Add the pineapple, strawberries, 1 cup of the water, agave nectar, and lime juice to a blender. Blend until smooth and no chunks remain. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher. Use a spoon or spatula to help press the juice through if needed. Stir in the remaining 1½ cups of water to dilute and adjust the consistency. Chill before serving, or serve immediately over ice for a cold and refreshing treat.

Notes

Use ripe, in-season fruit for the best flavor and natural sweetness—frozen fruit can be used if fresh isn’t available, just thaw it first. If your pineapple is extra sweet, feel free to reduce or skip the agave entirely. A high-speed blender helps make the texture silky smooth, but straining ensures no pulp or seeds make it to the glass. This agua fresca is best enjoyed fresh, but it can be refrigerated for up to 2 days—give it a stir before serving. For parties or gatherings, double or triple the batch and serve it in a large dispenser with ice and floating fruit slices for a beautiful presentation.
