Description
This savory Ham and Spinach Quiche combines fluffy eggs, melty cheddar, tender ham, and fresh spinach in a buttery pie crust. It’s a simple, make-ahead dish ideal for brunches, holidays, or a comforting weekday lunch.
Ingredients
-
1 frozen pie crust, thawed
-
6 large eggs
-
½ cup milk
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
⅛ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
-
⅓ cup cooked ham, chopped
-
⅔ cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Thaw the frozen pie crust according to package instructions. Place it on a baking sheet and poke the base with a fork to prevent bubbling.
-
Pre-bake the crust for 10 minutes at 350°F to help it stay crisp.
-
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
-
Add the chopped spinach, ham, and cheddar cheese to the pre-baked crust.
-
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the filling.
-
Bake the quiche on a baking sheet for 25–35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden.
-
Let cool in the pan for at least 10–15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
-
If your crust begins to brown too quickly, cover the edges with foil halfway through baking.
-
Make it ahead: Bake the quiche a day in advance and reheat slices in the oven or microwave.
-
For a vegetarian version, omit the ham and add mushrooms or bell peppers.
-
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
