Description

This savory Ham and Spinach Quiche combines fluffy eggs, melty cheddar, tender ham, and fresh spinach in a buttery pie crust. It’s a simple, make-ahead dish ideal for brunches, holidays, or a comforting weekday lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 frozen pie crust, thawed

  • 6 large eggs

  • ½ cup milk

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • ⅓ cup cooked ham, chopped

  • ⅔ cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Thaw the frozen pie crust according to package instructions. Place it on a baking sheet and poke the base with a fork to prevent bubbling.

  • Pre-bake the crust for 10 minutes at 350°F to help it stay crisp.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

  • Add the chopped spinach, ham, and cheddar cheese to the pre-baked crust.

  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the filling.

  • Bake the quiche on a baking sheet for 25–35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden.

  • Let cool in the pan for at least 10–15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • If your crust begins to brown too quickly, cover the edges with foil halfway through baking.

  • Make it ahead: Bake the quiche a day in advance and reheat slices in the oven or microwave.

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the ham and add mushrooms or bell peppers.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
