Description

This easy Stromboli recipe is a 30-minute meal that the whole family will go crazy for! With just a few simple ingredients, it’s great for meal prep and totally freezer-friendly.


Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (enough for 1 pizza)

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

  • ⅓ cup marinara sauce

  • ½ cup chopped cooked ham

  • ½ cup sliced salami

  • ½ cup pepperoni slices

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon water

  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12″x16″ rectangle.

  • Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1″ border all around and a 2–3″ gap at the far long edge.

  • Layer with 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, then add ham, salami, and pepperoni. Top with the remaining ½ cup mozzarella.

  • Roll the dough up tightly, stopping just before the edge.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, water, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Brush the egg wash over the dough seam, then pinch to seal.

  • Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush the top with egg wash.

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.

 

  • Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.


Notes

  • Want a vegetarian version? Skip the meat and fill it with sautéed veggies like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers.

  • Make it ahead: Assemble and refrigerate unbaked Stromboli for up to 24 hours. Bake as directed.

 

  • Freezer tip: Wrap baked Stromboli tightly in foil and freeze. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
